Sorry, I know its been 4 days since my last post, but I have been busy with school and setting up the vlog. But I am back now so we are all good yeah?
So I am ordering my Ukulele tonight! Problem is the one I want is over £7 more expensive on the UK amazon than on the American amazon so I was trying to order it from the American one to save money. I spent ages trying to find a cheaper one of an American site but none shipped to the UK! It was very frustrating. I have given up, so now I am just spending more of my money! Oh well its a Ukulele!!! It’s worth it!
I love the sound that a ukulele makes. I want to be able to play one they are sooo epic.
Anyone else a Uke player? Comment if you are and whats your Uke like?

Good luck with the uke lessons. I never played one, but I did play guitar for a while. That’s just a big ukelele, right?
I am going to teach myself, so I need all the luck I ca get haha! I played the guitar for about 3 years but was never any good and I couldnt reach the cords (im really small)!!! Yeah just a little guitar so I figuered it will be easyer!!!
Hi – good luck with learning the uke – I’ve been teaching myself for just over a year & it’s a fun instrument to play! I bought myself a basic purple Mahalo for around £15 & it’s fine for me. I joined a local group & we have a wide range of players from other total novices to folk who’ve been playing since the 1960s. Some have cheap instruments & others have several really good quality, even vintage, ones.
As you’ve played guitar you should find it fairly easy to pick up – as you say, it’s smaller & has less strings.
Do have a look at our club site (details in my signature block) to find lots of free on-line resources – lessons, tips & resources, help for beginners (eg my post on 26/12 will give you some good ;pointers as you’re just starting out), songbooks, some pics of a few of our ukes etc.

Hi, thanks for the feedback and help! I have bought a Lanikai LU-11 Soprano Uke! I had no clue which to get! I spent hours looking at reviews. Mahalo was second on my list actually! I dont think there are any groups around where I live but theres the internet and books. I will be looking at your club site shortly as it sounds extreamly helpful! Thanks again.

Hi Elly – they are popular ukes & a step up from he Mahalo, so a good choice. I got a cheap uke myself mainly in case I didn’t enjoy playing.
As you say, there are plenty of resources on the internet. I mainly looked for free on-line lessons (eg Pineapple Pete’s Uke School; Ukulele Hunt; Brett McQueen’s Ukulele Tricks; Ukulele Underground & Ukulele Mike) & plenty of songs on-line, so it can be a cheap hobby.
If you’ve had a chance to look at our site, you’ll see links to most of these & also on the post I mentioned there’s a link to club listing pages, so you might find somewhere near you.
